Officers
WILLIAM J. HUDSPETH, JR., Chairman and CEO, received a B.A. from Amherst College and a J.D. from The University of Texas Law School. Mr. Hudspeth has over forty years trust and banking experience. He is a member of the Travis County Bar Association, Texas Bar Association and the Real Estate, Probate and Trust section of the State Bar. In addition, he is a member of the Austin Assembly, Knights of The Symphony and an associate member of Bachelors of Austin. He currently serves as an Advisory Director of The Settlement Club of Austin. He served as President of the Young Men’s Business League and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Austin; as a Director of the Better Business Bureau and the Austin Country Club; and as an Advisory Director of Caritas and The Arthritis Foundation. DAN M. REMICK, President, received a B.A. and a B.S. from The University of Arizona. He is also a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU. Mr. Remick has over thirty years experience in personal trust, employee benefit administration, trust audit and operations. He is a member of the Advisory Council of The University of Texas Health Science Center. He also serves as an Advisory Director for the Salvation Army in South Austin and Crosspoint, Inc., a halfway house located in San Antonio, Texas. VALERIE A. ENGLAND, PHR, Senior Vice
President - Human Resources, received a B.A. from Texas State University. She is also a graduate of the Texas School of Trust Banking and The University of Texas Human Resource Management Program. Ms. England has over twenty-five years experience in personnel management, special asset management, personal trust and operations. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and an active member of the Austin Human Resource Management Association. She serves on the board of the Smith Ranch Property Owners Association and has served as Vice President of Finance for the Austin Human Resource Management Association. KAY HILBERT, Senior Vice President
- Operations, received a B.A. from Texas State University and teaching certification from Texas Lutheran University. Ms. Hilbert has over twenty-five years experience in trust operations, trust real estate, trust securities and trust oil and gas. Ms. Hilbert serves on the Gold and Silver Award Committee for the Lone Star Girl Scout Council and is an advisor for the Pleasant Hill Girl Scout Service Unit. C. - Real Estate, Senior Vice President - Real Estate, attended The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Boykin has over fifteen years of real estate experience as a real estate agent, mortgage loan officer and property tax consultant. Mr. Boykin oversees the administration of real estate and mineral interests held in trust. He is an active member of the Coastal Conservation Association and an associate member of Bachelors of Austin. L. THOMAS SLIGER, CFP®, Senior
Vice President – Personal Trust and Estate Administration, received a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and has completed the American College’s Advanced Estate Planning curriculum. He has over thirty years experience in estate and trust administration and securities management. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Austin, the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and the National Committee of Planned Giving. ROBERT W. GRAY, CFA®, Vice President
- Investments, is a native of Austin. He received a B.S. from The University of Texas at Austin and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He has over forty years experience in investment and finance and has also earned the designations of CFP® and CPA. He is currently an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and a member of the CFA Institute. Mr. Gray served as a Director for the Austin Society of Financial Analysts and as an officer and Director of the Harvard Business School Club of Austin. PENNY K. YAÑEZ, Vice
President – Personal Trust Administration, received a B.A. from Concordia University, Austin, and an Associates Degree in Mid-Management from Coastal Bend Community College. Mrs. Yañez is a graduate of the Texas School of Trust Banking I and II. She also completed the curriculum for the Texas Trust Banking Court-Created Trusts, Advanced Court-Created Trusts and Changes and Trends Affecting Special Needs Trusts. She has over fifteen years experience in court-created and personal trust administration. Ms. Yañez is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas, Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Texas and The Texas Brain Injury Society. She also volunteers for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Zachary Scott Theater and the Biscuit Brothers. MARTHA (MARTY) D. ROSENFIELD, Assistant
Vice President - Personal Trust and Estate Administration, attended the University of Houston and The University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Rosenfield has over twenty years experience in personal trust, estate administration and trust securities. She is a graduate of the Texas School of Trust Banking I and II, the School for Executive Development at the University of Georgia and the Texas Savings and Loan League School at The University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Rosenfield is a Director and Treasurer of the Stephen F. Austin High School Continuing Education Foundation and an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas. HOLLY TUE GARCIA, CTFA, Assistant Vice President – Personal Trust and Estate Administration, received a B.B.A. from Angelo State University and earned a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. She has seven years experience in personal trust and estate administration as well as court-created and charitable remainder trust administration. She is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and volunteers with Junior Achievement of Central Texas. NATHAN SCHROEDER, Assistant Vice President – Investments, received a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. He has five years experience in the field of investments and is in the process of completing the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation. Mr. Schroeder is a member of the Charter Financial Analyst Society of Austin and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. DIANA C. GILL, Assistant Vice President – Personal Trust Administration, received a B.S. from Corpus Christi State University and an M.B.A. from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She is also a graduate of Texas Trust School II and is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas. She has twenty-four years experience in investments, financial planning, personal trust, estate and court created trust administration. Ms. Gill is an ordained Presbyterian Elder, a member of Kiwanis International and volunteers for various civic organizations.
